In the semi-final match, we challenged the Hradec Králové team, which we eventually defeated without losing a set 3:0. But there is nothing left but to send great respect to Hradec for what they have achieved and how far they have come.
Hradec’s entered the match a little better, but AERO quickly took the lead on their side and managed to keep the lead with patient play. AERO was already 5 points ahead in the middle of the set. The set was just finishing up and the Hradec team also sent Jan Štokr into the game – 1:0.
The second set also started evenly, but AERO had a slight lead. In the middle of the set, thanks to Honza Svoboda’s serve, AERO managed to jump to a four-point lead. AERA players played confidently and scored one point after another, so nothing unexpected happened in the end – 2:0.
The third set was very even from start to finish. AERO was leading by three points at the start, but Hradec leveled very quickly and held on to a difference of one to two points. Both AERO and Hradec were losing well, which is why no one managed to bounce back. Hradec equalized at the very end of the set and the long end of the set began. AERO still had match balls, Hradec deflected and did not get to the set ball. In the end, AERO was happy to win the set 30:28 – 3:0.
Jan Svoboda was declared the best player of the match.
Thank you so much to all AERA fans for the amazing support in the lobby!!
